Friday's here and I'm so happy. Is it just me or did it seem like this week would never end? I spent most of the week addressing editing issues on my second book. Looks like the official title for book two will remain TANGLED ROOTS and it will be released May 2006. I'll be posting the synopsis and maybe an excerpt in a few months. It's so funny when you get the copy edited version of your book. The poor thing looks like it's bleeding red ink and has yellow post-it notes with comments stuck all over it. My first reaction is always dread but once I go through the comments and edits, it's always much less intimidating then when I first laid eyes on it. The comments are usually always valid ones and I'm very grateful because the copy editor always brings things to my attention that I didn't catch.
Tomorrow I have a
booksigning at Walden Books in my hometown mall from 2-4. Don't know that I'll get much of a turnout since it was mainly advertised through flyers and word-of-mouth. So, if any of you are in the Springfield, Ohio area tomorrow, come say hi. I'd love to meet you. Just try not to laugh at our pitiful mall. We're talking seventies throwback, for real!
